23rd Protection of Children in Cars Conference - POCC 2025, Munich (Germany). 09-10 December 2025

English layman's summary:

Study using PIPER child models shows that increasing CRS seatback recline raises spinal loads, while more upright angles reduce them. The recommended 30°–45° range for rear-facing and upright for forward-facing seats remains optimal for safety.
